The budget for 2015 on State aid scheme for co-financing of insurance premiums to insure agricultural production has increased by 700 000 lev by the Management Board of the State Fund "Agriculture".
After the increase the total budget of the scheme for 2015 already amounted to 1.7 million lev . The purpose of the aid is to encourage small and medium farmers who grow fruit , vegetables, oil-bearing crops and tobacco voluntarily insure agricultural production against adverse climatic event which can be assimilated to natural disasters and other adverse climatic events , as partially offset the costs of concluding the insurance policy.
The maximum amount of support he can get a farmer is 65 % of the insurance premium .
